I had to stop for a while as the power cable for my laptop snapped and I had a job tracking down an affordable replacement. Well I have been busy, had my dear friend Cora to stay and together we have produced some wonderful pictures, which will be posted soon, its amazing how you fall behind with things like this. I have missed posting. Well better get on with photographing my work and preparing my next post.Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08236782502338118266noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166974709513313588.post-61759841190957457902009-05-09T08:43:00.011+01:002009-05-09T14:57:36.085+01:00Art lesson update<img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIF3eE4z2anPimA088ERGzZ2B-6KozJjGDY8eDbudrxrvmoskEDd7fskfX5IxNKksrFUbdRljMFVfTdK0fiSIpkQNiVyuTHCo_MT-wG7sFV3vS4kDTcbFWba_LD70dt1UYwnE2aQ7A1h8H/s320/IMG_0667.JPG" style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5333821314566483986" /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPICB4UiLRbIMwDIkI8rZ0VUsn-GtXeXlUPgHTCTwVGOPmCxyl3LpYYKgIlTSmG-Oqp5RYydUzPtQhQlb_HXXuShfv8x1WXdcWQxcCyHJM6p7IZaXE4CBZ0Kh9ElbspHb5y6UJMnX-Sh7y/s1600-h/IMG_0670.JPG"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 241px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPICB4UiLRbIMwDIkI8rZ0VUsn-GtXeXlUPgHTCTwVGOPmCxyl3LpYYKgIlTSmG-Oqp5RYydUzPtQhQlb_HXXuShfv8x1WXdcWQxcCyHJM6p7IZaXE4CBZ0Kh9ElbspHb5y6UJMnX-Sh7y/s320/IMG_0670.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5333822205364601058" /></a><br />This week we worked on flowers, but this week we studied the leaves and how to paint them, we also studied more brush techniques for painting flowers and leaves. I have also been working on the painting sketch that was done at Ramster gardens, I was fairly happy with how it came out but felt that personally I could do better, so I have re-painted it again, and I feel that it has turned out a lot better. I have also included the page of work I completed at art class this week. I have also now included the retakes of these 2 photo's. I also took a few photo's so I had a plenty of reference material. I was then taken out to a wonderful garden, <br />it was very called Ramster and the gardens took <img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitj1n-LxLb7QDL5C_5beV118izGLDH6gK3HJUHtxb4SoJZNuxG0Za3u-UX32-ZvKgSCDlz1icUvcDBNhFo6aNYDxvlICU7AySXAkWv6vXuPCKMZAibq3k8Hqm_Nu7YKmvJypthQEB7sYtI/s320/IMG_0662.JPG" style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332362044516159058" />my breath away. Instead of being formal and stuffy this was a garden that was fun to explore, and the plants were breath taking. It did rain, but what is bank holiday weekend with out a bit of rain. I did manage to take loads of flower photo's and after a lot searching and a lot of searching we fond a great place to paint a small snap shot of the gardens. I wanted to capture the blue bells and shrubs that were there and this is what I did, I hope that you like this small painting, and will leave a comment on this.Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08236782502338118266noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166974709513313588.post-23267899478829246112009-04-30T17:29:00.004+01:002009-05-03T17:01:19.082+01:00Art class updateWell, I have had 2 classes since I came back from my holiday and thought you would like to see what I have been working on. In class we have been concentrating on flowers, and its be very <img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSJATzifL52UuAhyuN-vejbtgdAmCWupRpQ4Yx680-rloUZP1PvBk1GIIaTQYKYjWgKDMPiev8QqvFooZackP9WsDN_9O8udDW9KEc4eu0Xr7gfr5QW4NLM-E9bbdasJgSEoaMpENQXZ8-/s320/IMG_0554.JPG" style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5331273791223970930" />challenging, I didn't realise how complex flowers are in there design and colour. <img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjcwXDoINZi-QVtiUpotuJvN3VHrOCLs3etujRmbk6OM-Lo9PxUALyRq3u1-0mhoswyuHODv_PtnkbcWyL9aGKSkOJ0XgdQ6FfyHp1r93TvrZjJnvGWvGMWQMbEGuBul0hEbtQZn7W_p4t/s320/IMG_0553.JPG" style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5331273789561297490" />I hope that now with the wonderful colours of flowers I will over come my colour worries, and fill my paintings with colour. I have decided to use my hard back watercolour book for class so that I can keep all the practice work in one place.<img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7TTohWdrmuB4hVdbt0cqhInT8kpQH6dZ1UlqSDTVRn3UPOjguKcJB0hAVBIAQjRsLkDtwDOHrtVANYiq5Frw39mAf2Ca1ZotV8URa2PZG3bqy8qJbsvnt1NcDBCnFML5sRnPtKZQw_3EF/s320/IMG_0537.JPG" style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5331273786046645362" /><div>If you look to the left there is a picture of the shrew Toby brought into the house this morning. I think my brain is in melt down with all these new ideas. So here is the finished painting for your approval, let me know what you think of her, I also think its better that she is on a perch gives her something to stand on. I have also had a lesson with my friend Caroline on how to use my pastels, we were going to work with a flower, in this case a tulip, she then showed a demonstration of drawing one and then I went on to do one myself, and as you can see my first attempt was successful. I know now that all I have to do is practise more and then I will get better still and then be able to attempt more complex subjects.<div><br /></div>Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08236782502338118266noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166974709513313588.post-86227062673668534112009-04-27T08:44:00.006+01:002009-04-28T15:26:49.161+01:00Who's a pretty Polly then<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVyw-GjJ1uVLy5vHRm0_CAnYOEnP_vaclvOILVramoPcQkAQ7ijaWezcet4xgLPLvOCdjFjw9B2BFvVEMCG-81PSbJkkFBHfKRtlk_W7tv3vzzQvlp6Ec1R97TPTEfBQ1IAriVqc2xaFN2/s1600-h/IMG_0525.JPG"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVyw-GjJ1uVLy5vHRm0_CAnYOEnP_vaclvOILVramoPcQkAQ7ijaWezcet4xgLPLvOCdjFjw9B2BFvVEMCG-81PSbJkkFBHfKRtlk_W7tv3vzzQvlp6Ec1R97TPTEfBQ1IAriVqc2xaFN2/s320/IMG_0525.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5329370194886165666" /></a>I started an acrylic abstract parrot yesterday as you will have seen, well, its finished at last, I finally started to add the final touches to it at 5.30 am as I couldn't sleep thanks to the cat! I know that way I can stock up ideas and then use them for new work. Well I have decided to paint abstracts of animals, I love animals and you can get some bright and colourful birds and animals. I want to use my acrylics to there full effect, make them shout out with colour, and I hope my first one on the left which I am going to title "who's a pretty <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Polly</span> then". It would be nice if you could let me know what you think of him, I want them to be abstract, using lines instead of curves and see how the turn out.Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08236782502338118266noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166974709513313588.post-21466836723131714312009-04-22T16:22:00.003+01:002009-04-22T16:30:42.424+01:00A new challenge<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaUvu6g5xiB1o7Yka019uF3cMcVzXLuKObSbDXngpKlnggqj7mB7oF6FYhOJ44qapdxYTznUtl4H4z4YnAGQPOm2ZWBA2ythmIR0o4C_I7eZ0oIv_1fQBRxB63eJoSwuBkEKKyIiTGNlo2/s1600-h/IMG_0522.JPG"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaUvu6g5xiB1o7Yka019uF3cMcVzXLuKObSbDXngpKlnggqj7mB7oF6FYhOJ44qapdxYTznUtl4H4z4YnAGQPOm2ZWBA2ythmIR0o4C_I7eZ0oIv_1fQBRxB63eJoSwuBkEKKyIiTGNlo2/s320/IMG_0522.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5327538092450269970" /></a>For a while now I have been researching acrylics, as while on holiday last year I went to some gallery's and fell in love with paintings that were bright and happy done in acrylics, and this time we saw some more. I got out of the car to be be greeted by a true delight which took me back to my childhood, a carpet of bluebells and wood anemones. The flowers were all over under a wonderful wood land setting, which gave a wonderful chance to photograph them and there setting. I have also managed to download all the photo's from my holiday. I am so glad I had a 2GB memory card for my camera as I have managed to take almost 300 photo's of where we were in Cornwall and the places we visited. I thought that as the weather wasn't perfect every day at least with good photographs I can come home with the photo's and work from them.<div><br /></div><div>I stayed in a cottage which was situated on a sheep farm and of course loved every minute of it. I even managed to see the birth of a new lamb, a truly heart swelling moment. I have now uploaded and sorted all the photo's that I have taken while on holiday and I will post them as a a slide show for you all to see. I have yet to take photo's of the paintings that I managed to do while away. </div>Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08236782502338118266noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166974709513313588.post-3936257636806320562009-04-07T16:31:00.003+01:002009-04-07T16:34:45.133+01:00I thought I would drop inHi folks, yes, I know I haven't been around much but in a way that's good as it means I am storing up loads of photo's for my art work. I have started some nice paintings which will be posted when I get home.<br /><br />I hope your all painting, and look forward to catching up when I get back home.Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08236782502338118266noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166974709513313588.post-52547788892327670772009-03-31T11:57:00.006+01:002009-04-01T14:07:38.540+01:00New painting<div style="text-align: justify;">Well, I have finished the landscape I started on Sunday, it looks fairly good to me, but then I think other peoples eyes will see it differently. I only got to take a picture of it this morning and haven't sat down long enough to write my blog. <br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">This weekend we are aways on our holidays, down to Cornwall to visit family, and for me to take the chance to sit down and paint out doors, the cottage has some wonderful views over the moors and as its a working farm I may even get the chance to paint some of the animals. I have bought a new hard back watercolour pad and will use this to record my sketch's </div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuWDHnUGcdLwDuFKNelQG5VtI1LwBtDhZLy4CstXekEiwdatEjZcFtXZQVPQ6DNrV-mvcWGgcNA5WboCGWP6oPtiIyNFRo7w-hNEFBFWXJBAkUAW1fzYfKoA3kypUV_eCdb_4CZHda4VF_/s320/240x360prodtemplate.jpg" style="text-align: justify;float: right; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 10px; cursor: pointer; width: 213px; height: 320px; " border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5319637616136833810" /><div style="text-align: justify;">and paintings. I have been lucky as today my new camera arrived, Ed had me one with a more professional capabilities as I </div><div style="text-align: justify;">like to take photo's for my paintings, and as this one comes with macro's (means it can take up close images with out blurring out the image), I can't wait to use it when I go on holiday on Friday. I tried it out quickly and can't believe how good it is, and its so light as well. The camera has so many functions, and the best is that I can use it manually instead of a just point and shoot one.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div>Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08236782502338118266noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166974709513313588.post-33666370154311946092009-03-30T13:34:00.004+01:002009-03-30T13:45:56.790+01:00The wonder of weather<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRnzGXVjmiiFmpT1ZTH6ActJCa6IOWfzUmlRbIhZJ0QKiBBZG16ClvWixlFGwG-mWJbl736tH8fluvnUEqwRniC_nyhaQxvmo4pPmBJvRCUMcJNsAvZCGwpIHCLcVhSyW_GYu7sSwk9usB/s1600-h/IMG_0332.JPG"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRnzGXVjmiiFmpT1ZTH6ActJCa6IOWfzUmlRbIhZJ0QKiBBZG16ClvWixlFGwG-mWJbl736tH8fluvnUEqwRniC_nyhaQxvmo4pPmBJvRCUMcJNsAvZCGwpIHCLcVhSyW_GYu7sSwk9usB/s320/IMG_0332.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5318961023970794290" /></a><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-5xp5sTvVC76Wq2BrLEApUPC8bfqlQmRvB3-oiatTvaIXs43peBOIyXSvI_lL8wI-CRU5bHLp2PdMpb8OzqJnp4_ZsRCablzQCJ1fsaIssBOR17lGt3OQbel-7HLeABb2n-juhlyRtScF/s320/IMG_0331.JPG" style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5318960746122578354" /> I took these photo's of the sky over Aldershot, it was so calm just before the storm hit, the whole sky was grey and dark, and just before it started to rain large hail stones fell. I managed to catch the photo's by chance, and I am so glad that I had my camera with me. I have now decided that where I go my camera goes with me. I thought that I could use this sky in a future painting.<div><br /></div>Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08236782502338118266noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166974709513313588.post-29649889745620936622009-03-30T09:49:00.006+01:002009-03-30T12:43:06.614+01:00A weekend of hard work ( well art)<img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-r9iG5YAIpiWU5sZ_lKvx1UJvTyHmnbWJczEsLLOMv4EM-U0EEFXqMIDauT2kb5jDw-Y20zIUHhBAPi1F2SuknKU4NSEMwmyVvFUXcYOjVnUI4A1-AuEC6ZbbOmu4eEL4asEF5WNW-PWH/s320/IMG_0339.JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5318905248160140610" /><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwlRLdTeMwaw34ksD-kWwR_rzWudC8-Q7HMQ6FveNZTj8efp6wI7HdPlG5FV3V5eN1tM_JrojTNjlnMw-rl9n7egzLRLMk9DtTiQaPLm1RjK5cIMTVqOft0gaqtqgTGcY5OAa7YOw6s7N8/s320/IMG_0340.JPG" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5318905255933663666" /><br />This weekend we stayed home, and I decided to take the chance to do some more painting, and as you can see I have manged to complete one painting and make a good start on another one. This first painting is taken from a card I had that was sent to us by a good neighbour Jackie, she is a wonderful artist and is always painting cards. I think all of her cards include cats, but this time I left the cat out as I thought it would leave a question in the viewers mind as to what she was looking at. The landscape is a work in progress, we had a tutor lead demonstration on a landscape and at the end we were left to start planning a composition for a landscape, this one is taken from a photo taken by my tutor which I borrowed to finish off. I have also enclosed a new <img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixjveHhVrX8lePOfSYwOAN2YCe_rNVIKn8iOCapBBc9SdII8GNYNbC6F2rEu8V1UV9N0ZAfJA2XQ6v6n6VpyFuka12SGfehWnoVH99xnz2DdJyQiCkV-cOUsXCyHq75lqddGVmiIsoBPFN/s320/IMG_0342.JPG" style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5318943014344794418" />picture of my new studio set up, as you can see, the is quite a lot of stuff on the desk, and I also have a cupboard which is full of other art materials and easels. I hope to finish my landscape later today. I am now going to have to start planning the art supplies that I will be taking with me on holiday, its quite a feat of organising as I need to be sure I have all I need and don't leave anything behind.Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08236782502338118266noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166974709513313588.post-29657586757120607942009-03-28T10:33:00.004+00:002009-03-28T10:43:09.170+00:00Neck updateWell, I think that all my friends and followers will be pleased to know that I am feeling a lot <img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbvpp2QSyLWYzBUmiY26skOXeg-rB1-E3bC3vGztDjOl5PzXUTRdqMP71llZIyyBkw-OkEr7SBZf19ZNAxAsbo3nwzf61LHZVRqGO2ZVBMFP40zWJZLbz7TsNrUFZCx3gbtx50pvUe2Y4m/s320/IMG_0311.JPG" style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5318186496444222450" />better. I think its going to be a case of not pushing it to far as far as my neck is concerned. I am not completely sure what we are doing today, but one thing is in for sure and that is we have to buy new jeans for our boy, he has grown a whole inch in 2 months!! He is now taller than me and almost as tall as Ed. I have started a height mark on the wall in the front room and every so often we will check his height and mark it on the wall with the date. The photo is of Toby who kept his mum company while I was in bed, I took this photo just after he was getting comfy, he looked almost asleep. I know one thing, he makes a mean hot water bottle. I was in bed for the day and he never left my side, he is a real mummy's boy. Well, best get moving or nothing will get done.Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08236782502338118266noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166974709513313588.post-2011593713895870742009-03-27T13:12:00.004+00:002009-03-27T13:31:27.632+00:00Art Class<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAVbZIYsDR8DqbIJxmWxDO07UrR7z7rj3WV99G4PfZD3RjPVZRYo0MNZTuwYZTMB3dbtURION-vRqT-tsoblEk3sMMqjKfuo2q9rd6C93bCloimi0zO8IpRS3RdR42YmpQGOPJ8xmkUmkU/s1600-h/32697635.gif"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 210px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAVbZIYsDR8DqbIJxmWxDO07UrR7z7rj3WV99G4PfZD3RjPVZRYo0MNZTuwYZTMB3dbtURION-vRqT-tsoblEk3sMMqjKfuo2q9rd6C93bCloimi0zO8IpRS3RdR42YmpQGOPJ8xmkUmkU/s320/32697635.gif" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317856036867151346" /></a>Well, yesterday was Art Class day, and I went as I thought that my neck felt better. We had a full demonstration on painting a landscape, our tutor showed us a photograph of simple landscape scene and went through how to paint each part in turn, it really was a learning experience for me, as I want to improve my landscape painting skills. I was hoping to start work on the landscape I had drawn out but as my stubborn neck is playing up again I am flat out in bed again! How frustrating. I may try to do some drawing later, but it depends on how I feel,at least I can <img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7ZhMg04ArKVi_WWG8AkkQZxYlNRk02LMe1vv5y667kY1dWqSkqKoz30D5hVr0jcnB9jWzX_DNY-L6Rkoy8Cn7mmtg8urhTmQanMn16b3X9QZ1O2I2ugPF4ATAflsoF2rw7B2sXXWVRpnZ/s320/flowers+in+30+min.jpg" style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317858389257804274" />read my art books and magazines to give me some new ideas for when I am up and about again. I may do a few flower drawings later as I have bought a new book called Flowers In Watercolour by Trevor Waugh, its really good as it show you how to simplify the flower into basic shapes as a drawing and the when you add the colour you can build up the shape and body of it. I think at long last I can learn to paint flower, which is what I would love.Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08236782502338118266noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166974709513313588.post-59744408219801620422009-03-25T17:51:00.002+00:002009-03-25T17:59:41.936+00:00I have found an idea thats so good<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPuTDtD4XBoLDjJ-Y-alFyZEBH4uDQeutfqJJ1MA38b1rKaSN_SFPs4KfaSW3w5sHLKFDETn7LaDnRg-_TrbVWe-nBay2F3l1y-3N0PzM4uzSRqhHwL_dUhSgGR18PxMRvuIXqD8tXC3PG/s1600-h/tripod-usage-in-digital-camera-and-image-stabilization.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPuTDtD4XBoLDjJ-Y-alFyZEBH4uDQeutfqJJ1MA38b1rKaSN_SFPs4KfaSW3w5sHLKFDETn7LaDnRg-_TrbVWe-nBay2F3l1y-3N0PzM4uzSRqhHwL_dUhSgGR18PxMRvuIXqD8tXC3PG/s320/tripod-usage-in-digital-camera-and-image-stabilization.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317185238748334082" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiMNepzlwKjhOrWBsjunocJcrV_Jvppyn3XRXLrrfRolDYL6vJ5UuzBIz1Ya_KDocpGWie8rGASWfqH7CmEAbIya9lxGjbOXpRO1zEtfpG6EfN5K_mYz3aHo23zMRy3RBW5HWKiuxIyNUY/s1600-h/bracket_1_mid.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiMNepzlwKjhOrWBsjunocJcrV_Jvppyn3XRXLrrfRolDYL6vJ5UuzBIz1Ya_KDocpGWie8rGASWfqH7CmEAbIya9lxGjbOXpRO1zEtfpG6EfN5K_mYz3aHo23zMRy3RBW5HWKiuxIyNUY/s320/bracket_1_mid.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317185232849013106" /></a>I am always on the look out for something that is going to make it easy to get out and about to paint and draw, I had seen an artist who used a camera tripod to rest his board on. I asked how he did this and he told me about a bracket you can buy to attach to your board which they attaches to the camera mount bracket. I found out where to get one and my husband attached the bracket to my drawing board. I am now set for the summer, and loads of paintings.Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08236782502338118266noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166974709513313588.post-49979851968842380812009-03-25T17:35:00.002+00:002009-03-25T17:44:15.542+00:00The craft trolly - an artists best friend<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjU6LzVMqOVdIs7Ak9iWNk73rF9w26XmJJhzaRXwEG6LW5afbHBUCmOhRsUPs-oFjiQhHcEOVBbSbq1oMuB2ePR7WxBfKIYDe3Hr7WdNzsTuk3CLtJuqtj4ZdT3oqMt9gGiL1DghYZhKRH4/s1600-h/313782_2_large.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 319px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjU6LzVMqOVdIs7Ak9iWNk73rF9w26XmJJhzaRXwEG6LW5afbHBUCmOhRsUPs-oFjiQhHcEOVBbSbq1oMuB2ePR7WxBfKIYDe3Hr7WdNzsTuk3CLtJuqtj4ZdT3oqMt9gGiL1DghYZhKRH4/s320/313782_2_large.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317180786712078930" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiS7jBkk07FKuJlgrxL4MtrgEYpSKTbnMUfn8Pi9_uhyl4RtXVB3MyUvVsHvqC9Zg-vhLUGCazXprdufMWikmqwnNsNgc3K99yXUEy3AAjO1Hrcw6rZHpN6VgAURYENiMUA-dzWFIpbO7-Y/s1600-h/313782_1_large.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 319px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiS7jBkk07FKuJlgrxL4MtrgEYpSKTbnMUfn8Pi9_uhyl4RtXVB3MyUvVsHvqC9Zg-vhLUGCazXprdufMWikmqwnNsNgc3K99yXUEy3AAjO1Hrcw6rZHpN6VgAURYENiMUA-dzWFIpbO7-Y/s320/313782_1_large.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317180781448096994" /></a><br /><div><br /></div><div> I have to use a stick to get around with I need to have an easy way to cart around my art gear when I go out to paint, so Ed saw this in Hobby Craft and brought it for me, and as I thought it carry's all my boxes, my paint box, 2 pallets and my easel and desk tidy, this is a small set of draws that I keep things in like pencil sharpener, electric eraser and that sort of thing. I also carries my drawing board and another board which I can put on top to make a table for putting my water container on and my paint box. I think all in all its an ideal solution for getting around now summer is here.</div>Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08236782502338118266noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166974709513313588.post-86035625140001760312009-03-25T08:52:00.003+00:002009-03-25T09:00:29.193+00:00Dodgy neck update<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJ4SwG8M2t9ajZvBWTuE3Ud8x6j4yfyDrQ2WoFQVMXigl5gFAFXLFij-pczGYGBVoNm14IZaypWgZtsiQK1zCMq7Xrc8XV7Ed8lMYgDyZadFm1minStA3nfQ4wTKPhKnKlcjwa745lcXZm/s1600-h/ena0167l.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 295px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJ4SwG8M2t9ajZvBWTuE3Ud8x6j4yfyDrQ2WoFQVMXigl5gFAFXLFij-pczGYGBVoNm14IZaypWgZtsiQK1zCMq7Xrc8XV7Ed8lMYgDyZadFm1minStA3nfQ4wTKPhKnKlcjwa745lcXZm/s320/ena0167l.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317047405877480210" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">I have been having problems with my neck, well I have been stubbornly putting up with this for over a week. I finally gave up and went to see my doctor, and he has said that I have a trapped nerve, so dodgy neck is going to be sorted out with heat packs and pain killers and also with increased anti-inflammatory tablets as well. I just hope I can still work on my art work, especially as I got art class tomorrow, so I am going bad neck or not. I will try to get some more work done on the projects I am working on, but it depends on this neck.<br /></div>Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08236782502338118266noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166974709513313588.post-4230829214675748482009-03-24T07:51:00.006+00:002009-03-24T08:25:06.360+00:00Toby did it again<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBTXF-iizxmPE0fUVs73jtTEcdAYznrz_sKsF6w6sFevxHS9cplkb3zyyS1L5LicNPEeFD6luDK4lujztuPS6qLbJYwgLcyHk3-90bWnklfbQHl-kvGPRpOV8w7UDlIowbqHrC95YCzvcQ/s1600-h/IMG_0317.JPG"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBTXF-iizxmPE0fUVs73jtTEcdAYznrz_sKsF6w6sFevxHS9cplkb3zyyS1L5LicNPEeFD6luDK4lujztuPS6qLbJYwgLcyHk3-90bWnklfbQHl-kvGPRpOV8w7UDlIowbqHrC95YCzvcQ/s320/IMG_0317.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316665849030558514" /></a><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-family:'Trebuchet MS';"><div style="border-top-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-style: initial; border-color: initial; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 3px; padding-right: 3px; padding-bottom: 3px; padding-left: 3px; width: auto; font: normal normal normal 100%/normal Georgia, serif; text-align: left; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:large;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'trebuchet ms';">Toby did it again, last night he brought us a little present, a little mouse, poor thing was terrified. It was at 11pm last night just as we were all settling down for the night so Ed barricaded the kitchen off and we went to bed. This morning, while getting Dan ready for school we so we took a chance and ambushed it behind a cupboard with a cardboard box and some wood to direct him in to the box. The mouse is now outside and Toby is in my bad books for the day. This is Toby as Ed brought him into the front room this morning, he loves to be carried this way as I usually tickle him behind the ears this way, plus he gets a tummy tickle this way as well.</span></span></div></span>Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08236782502338118266noreply@blogger.com0
