I have a mad cat, he is also so lazy its unbalievable he will go out all day and then about 2pm
come in and refuse to go out side for the rest of the day and evening. I have 2 pet birds, as regular readers will know and my daft cat will happily sit and sleep on top of the cage. The birds though will not bother, even when he dangles a paw down at the side or front of the cage, but makes no effort to catch them, and since having them he hasn't bought home dead wild ones either. Toby is so laid back,
nothing worries him, although he hates snow, even when he tried to catch it with his paws you could see how much he wanted to get in.
I think it is something built in to all cats, from their ancestors that makes them want to find the mos rediculus high or out of the way place to sleep, we find Toby in wadrobes, cupboards, but his favourite is drawers, any will do, even if he has to be a contortionist to get in it, he will some how, but hey it is as they say a cats life.

Your cat is awesome. Mine will be out for days and then wine to come in to eat, and he will stay inside for days.
it is funny how they can squeeze into tight, high places.
They are very flexible animals.
