Since my first steps into art I have saved and bought books on my favourite mediums, I bought them because I wanted to learn how to work in watercolour, paste, pencil, coloured pencil and pastels. Then I made friends with like minded people who have now become friends and also mentors to help me when I became stuck on some art related problem. I have also be fortunate that some of my wonderful friends have sent to me books and materials. I love books, always have done, but right now the most valued are my collection of art books, some have been gifts from friends and some I have bought or been bought by my wonderful husband, and now thanks to these books I am learning new techniques all the time, looking back now after nearly a year of working hard on my art I can see how much I have grown, artistically. I think next year will be a wonderful year where I am to chase away my nervous fear of painting and drawing out doors, with people around. I know that you my friends who read my blog will stay with me for this wonderful journey.
