This weekend we went out and joined English Heritage,
this is an organisation that protects buildings and monuments of importance. I joined so that we can get out more and not pay a small fortune to get to places.
We went to Porchester Castle and I took some really good photographs, although I didn't manage to go up to the top of the keep it was still an awe some day out, I didn't manage to do any drawings of the castle but I did come back weighed down with loads of photo's so
I can do some drawings and paintings. I also went out with Ed and Dan yesterday to Stonehenge, I was so
annoyed with my self as I didn't take spare batteries for the camera and when I got there I found out I had flattened the batteries so I decided to go for it and get out the sketch book and do some drawings. I will post them here so you can see my work, I will get them ready to post later on here with some more photographs my first ever
drawings out in the big open space, with loads of people around as well. I am so glad that I went out and bought my seat/bag, I used it for the first time this weekend and it was so easy to carry now wonder how I
amanaged without it last year. I am so pleased that I have now overcome my fear of Plien Air painting, watch out world here I come.

Awh lucky. Stonehenge is one the placed I'd kill to see. It looks like you had a fun time. My weekend was busy too, for a change lol.
And more photos of an amazing castle. Can't wait to see your sketches. Good to hear that your bag came in handy.And drawing out in the open is so intimidating, I hate doing it. People staring at you, and when you draw subjects like me where you don't have to look anything to draw it lol.
