Sunday and a day out and more animal fun

Sunday is usually a day out for us, so out came the English Heritage book and we chose some where to go, that place was Titchfield Abbey near Fareham. It was a ruin of a abbey which after the dissolution of the abbeys and monasteries was turned into a Tudor house, called Place House, it is so impressive, even as a ruin. I managed to get some really good photographs of it,. I thought
that it would be nice to show you all some of them. It was freezing cold day and even though I had gone with the hope of painting I had to give that idea up because of the cold wind.

Another happening over the weekend was that Toby my dear cat bought in a mouse. I better explain, on Thursday he bought the mouse in, but we couldn't catch it as it would mean dismantling half the kitchen, so we waited for it to come out.
The mouse came out of the kitchen and ended up in the bathroom on Sunday, we live in a bungalow. I helped catch it and it is now recovering from its week behind the fridge in a hamster cage. I think he will stay with us a while so that he can get over his week behind the fridge. I think he is going to do just fine as he has huge hunger on him and is drinking like mad to make up lost time. I know that you all think I am mad welcoming a wild mouse into out mad house, but he would have otherwise died if left out in the open or released to the wild after such a long time with out food or water. I have a small cage and will keep him in there safe and sound from Toby. I think we will have him for about a week, there might even be a few sketch's while he is here. I know its soft but we have called him Mr Little - after the film.
