Where do I start?

As you know, I have decided to try my hand again at pastels, I have tried before, but got a little discouraged, well today is the day, I am going to start small with conte crayons and go from there, I know where I was going wrong was, I think I was as they say trying to run before I could walk, and of course it didn't work. I didn't get the desired result and was disapointed. I then ran away from them and worked on other projects. Well, I am going to go small, and see what happens. I will be using my two books on pastels and see what happens. Wish me luck.
